A Court Duty Officers (CDOs) Meeting was held today, 09.01.2026, at the Cyberabad CP Office Auditorium. The meeting was chaired by the, Cyberabad CP Dr. M. Ramesh, IPS, along with the Jt CP (Traffic) Dr. Gajarao Bhupal, IPS.
The meeting aimed at improving conviction rates by strengthening coordination with courts and public prosecutors. The CP reviewed the status of POCSO, rape, murder, and other grave and sensational cases, emphasizing that the success of an investigation ultimately depends on effective court Duty Officers follow-up, timely production and proper briefing of witnesses, prompt compliance with court orders, and diligent monitoring of trials. He stressed that even a single lapse can nullify months of investigation.
The meeting emphasized the critical role of CDOs/ Summons/Warrants& Court Liasoning Officers in serving summons, ensuring the production of witnesses, and the immediate collection and execution of non-bailable warrants without delay. Particular stress was laid on bail matters, directing that bail cancellation petitions must be filed in a timely manner in close coordination with prosecutors, as delays often result in bail being granted, causing serious damage to the prosecution case.
Further, CDOs/ Summons/Warrants& Court Liasoning Officers were instructed to ensure accurate and daily updation of Court Monitoring System(CMS) App and Center OF Excellences(COE) applications, including next hearing dates, witness examination details, warrant status, and court disposal information. Advance intimation to SHOs regarding important trials and proper briefing of witnesses prior to hearings were reiterated. The Commissioner reminded that they should act as a crucial bridge between police stations and courts, and that their efficiency directly determines trial outcomes. Further they were directed to perform their duties with dedication, discipline, and integrity, strictly adhering to the instructions issued during the meeting to strengthen court monitoring and prosecution outcomes.
The meeting was attended by DCP Crimes A. Muthyam Reddy, ADCP (Crimes) Ram Kumar, CCRB Inspector Kranthi Kumar and other officers.
